IKEA or Bust!

My trip to IKEA over the weekend was a ton of fun.  There were six of us altogether (we missed you Katie!), so I feel like it was a good turn out.  I didn't end up getting a group picture like I would have wanted to, so you will have to picture me with some of my friends.

This place is amazing.  If you have not been and you have one within driving distance you must go.  This was technically my second visit to IKEA...my first being when I was a sophomore in college and went to visit my family in CA.  But, that did not prepare me for this trip...it was truly overwhelming...a good overwhelming, but overwhelming nonetheless.

Just look:

We stayed together at some points and went our separate ways at some points.  There was so much to look at and so many great deals.  I did not end up buying a ton of items like I thought I would because I spent a lot of time just taking it all in :)

Here's a glimpse at my goodies:
I ended up with some cups for the kids, a travel bad for Ron, a microwave plate cover (you know, so the food does not splatter), some food containers, and...
I was excited to see these beauties.  I have seen them all over blog land and they were top on my list.

Don't you think they fit right in at my house?  I will use one for a plant for my kitchen, but I am not sure what I will do with the other two yet.

I also got this cutie...just cuz:

Lastly, I picked up these cute jars (for only $1.99 for all 4!).  Now I have a cute place to put the accessories for my cards.  I will eventually find a home for them on my craft shelf (which I really need to clean up).

Overall the trip was great...good times with friends, cheap household goods and a cinnamon roll for $1 :)

And there are already talks of returning...

So much fun!! I love what all you got. Those little jars are too cute!! I would love to go to IKEA one day. It will only happen while I'm visiting family in Bama though. They live about 2 hours away from the one in Atlanta. Maybe I'll get there one of these days!

I live 2 minutes from the Ikea - I go all the time for organizational stuff - I loved seeing what you picked up!

Did you do the fun upstairs showroom part too, or only the shopping area? I LOVE looking at the rooms they put together. :o)

There is just SO much to see at IKEA. We go about once every few months now, and I'm always finding something I didn't see before. For example, I'm jealous of your green bottle and cute lidded accessory jars--I didn't see them!

I could get in BIG trouble at IKEA--great deals and oh-so-cute stuff=lots of money spent if I don't go in with a budget.

Oh, and the furniture is pretty nice stuff too--for the price. :o)

I'm ready to go back just looking at all your funness! If you do go back, if you and your friends can go on a weekday morning, I find it's not nearly as crowded as it is on a Saturday.

I love Ikea! I was really overwhelmed both times I've been too...they have so much good stuff! I feel like I should start an Ikea fund for the next time I plan a trip:) Those glass jars are way too cute...and less than $2 for all 4 is awesome!

Love your Ikea goods!
Those white pots are so pretty. Oh the fun you could have with those is endless!
I think I have only been to an Ikea once and I was pretty overwhelmed. Maybe I need to go again one day.

Found your blog through Miller Racing Family. I'm from Ohio too! Where was this IKEA? I don't know of any near where I live. I especially love the glass jars in your last picture. I'm going to add you to my blog list! :)

Oh IKEA, I could spend WAY too much money there! I love those craft jars, I was just there and saw those and it didn't even cross my mind to use them for that! Great idea, thanks!!
