miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

10.1...How cool is it that yesterday was 10-10-10.  Jamison has to document the books that she reads from school and it has to be dated.  She read to me yesterday and when I wrote the date we both giggled...it's the little things. Next year we'll have 11-11-11 and that's my friend Marja's birthday...I think she should do something extra fun because how cool is that!

10.2...Have you been to the check out at Old Navy lately?  I just went the other day to exchange something for Jamison and was amazed at all of the random stuff they have at the check out...coloring books, gum, tissue, etc.  When did Old Navy also become the corner drug store?

10.3...So remember when I told you that we bought Alicia Keys for Jamison for her birthday?  Well now I'm wondering who is enjoying it more, me or Jamison.  We keep it in the car so when I'm driving alone I catch myself jammin' along!

10.4  Rondell and I are a little picky about our apple cider.  Not all cider is created equal you know.  We usually drive to our favorite farm store for cider (which is about a 30 minute drive).  It is SO worth the drive to have our favorite cider.  Do you go to a special place for cider?

10.5...Ohio State is #1 is all 3 polls...GO BUCKS!!!

Yes Ohio State beat IU...again :)

We don't have today off...but I'm glad...I needed today to catch up! But we have Thursday and Friday off for Fall break :)

I usually like to buy cider from a farm market, but bought some at the grocery because I wanted some! I guess it's not a big deal to me...I don't remember a difference in taste every year, ha! ;) But we'll get a chance to go to the market soon!

Hope you enjoy your day with family :) Happy Monday!

My dad makes our apple cider, so I prefer his. He makes each grandchild their own miniature gallon jug, it's pretty neat.
I can't say I agree with 10.5, but Michigan really blew it agains MSU this past weekend, so my team is kind of cruddy this year.
I love Alechia Keys too. She reminds me of Billie Holiday a bit when she sings. Can't wait to bust out the Christmas music this year and listen to BH singing "Sleigh Ride".
Have a fantastice week Kelli!

I think any cider I've ever had wasn't the "real stuff." Maybe this year I'll change that. It's still a bit too warm for me to start thinking about cider but I do enjoy it when it's cold. Funny how I enjoy coffee in hot or cold weather.

Wishing for you a wonderful week!

I am not an Ohio State fan but I am happy to see them at #1 since that means Bama is NOT there anymore! :)
We're heading to NC in a few weeks and plan on doing some apple picking at a local orchard. I can't wait for some cider!

I haven't been to Old Navy in awhile. I'll have to check out the check out area. I love fun stuff like that. Apple cider sounds delish. I'd love some hot right now, it would feel great on my scratchy throat.

Go BUCKS indeed baby!

Funny you should mention Alicia Keys... I think I sing 'No One' at least 768 times a day! It is probably the one song that I haven't grown sick of since it was released. Love it.

And cider... fresh is best. Always.

Happy Week to you!

Ha! I love that you listen to her CD too. I do that with my girls. I often push them towards something I know I will like!! Alicia Keys is one of my absolute favorites! Her cd's are one of the few that I will like EVERY song on... that rarely happens!
love your blog!! i plan to visit again soon!

10-10-10 just snuck up on me this year! I'm going to try to remember to plan something fun for the kids for 11-11-11 :) Isn't that so weird about Old Navy? I sometimes think to myself what is THAT doing in a clothing store?! I haven't been in there in a while but almost placed an online order for Noah the other day. I refrained though...the kids don't really *need* anything - I was just bored! Apple cider sounds yummy right now. I think I'll send Rob to get some in the morning :) We don't have any fun places around town to get it from though so it will come from the grocery store. I do have fond memories of living on Long Island and going to the local farmstands to get some of the best apple cider ever! Hope your week ahead is a great one :)
xoxo, Kelly

Ah, another Buckeye fan for a friend. Things are gonna get ugly when the Hokies and Bucks play in 2014. ;o)

Our ON closed!! I don't know HOW that could have happened, but it did and I'm bereft. :o(

Apple cider. Autumn nectar of the gods. Mm. Yes, I too am picky. I pick it up at the farmers' market. SO divine. :o)

I like when dates are like that! Old Navy has a ton of fun stuff at the check out which makes it even harder to get out without the kiddos wanting something! My boys always find the bin of balls that they have in the back near the kids stuff!

I get a lot of stocking stuffers at Old Navy. I buy them all year long.

Let's not talk about OSU. U of M just got their little bottoms kicked by MSU. Ugh what a devastation. But the kids gym teacher is happy about OSU being #1.
I hear ya on the cider.
