Water, Pizza and Blood

Yes, all of these things are related.

With summer coming to a close I've been wanting to do some fun things with the kids. I decided to take them to our local Spray Park this week since we had not been all summer. I asked a bunch of people to join us, and my friends Lyndsey and Amber jumped on board.

Things are always pretty low key when we get together and I love that. The kids are able to play and we can relax and chat. We ended up just getting pizza and having a simple dinner. After that the kids played in the water and then on the grassy hill behind the fountains. This is where the blood comes in.

Jamison was running down the hill and she fell on the sidewalk. SCRAPE! Poor thing scraped her knees and was bleeding. While I tried to calm Jamison down, Lyndsey ran to her car to get her first aid kit (we have the same one, I had to laugh at that). This is the second time that we've gotten together and towards the end one of my children is bleeding (remember the fire station?)!

Overall, we had a great time. The weather was perfect and so was the company.

Jamison pre-blood. She had so much fun running through the fountains and even got her face wet.

This is Caleb's fake smile. He looks constipated but he's saying "cheese." He really enjoyed the water too.

"No kids, turn this way. I want to see your faces, not your butts."

Here's an attempt to get a picture of me and Caleb. If you look closely you'll notice Caleb's newest fascination...his nipples. I swear he's going to be a boob man.

My friends...Amber and Lyndsey. Lyndsey and Josh arrived with a cooler and Lyndsey had a Coke in there for me. If that's not a friend after my own heart I don't know what is.

LOL at Caleb's smile...heehee! He's so cute, such a little man!

And Jamison is so adorable...what a sweetheart! Bummer on her knees, poor thing! And you guys are prepared...I still don't have a first-aid kit in my car. I want to hang out with you guys! But could I get a Diet Coke? haha! Really great pictures!

Looks like you all had a great time! I hope Jamison's scrape is healing! My middle son has the same fascination as Caleb....I have to constantly tell him to stop playing with them!

Those spray parks look like so much fun. We'll have to find one some day when the little kids are a little bigger.

The only waterparks in our town are indoor.

This post cracked me up. We went through a period with my older soon (when he was younger) grabbing women's boobs. We would of course tell me no, but secretly my husband and I would laugh about it. We said I either breastfed him too long or my husband would say that he's going to be a boob man.

It looks like a great way to end the summer. Terrible that it always ends in a scrap or two!

That looks like so much fun. I was in constant search of a fun spray park for the kids this year, and couldn't find one in our area. Bummer about the scraped knee. What beautiful children!!!

The spray park looks fabulous. Bless Jamison's heart, I am glad that she was alright.
I am also thankful you got to spend some great time with friends.
Have a great weekend!

Ah...summer fun! Love the pictures. And what is summer without some blood? I know I've never experienced one without it!

Yikes!
I don't do well with blood-but everything sounds like it worked out...
The nipple comment made me laugh. My six year old just TODAY asked me what they were called on him-Breasts? No, I said, "nipples." Ok, he said-I will call them my "nips."
True story! I have a nipple lover here, too!

The title sounded like a Sopranos episode.

Lovely family.

I love Jamison's suit. We are WAY into the colorful one piece around here. I bought the girls one this summer that reminds me of fruit stripe gum!

What a great way to spend a day with friends. Sorry to hear that Jamison bit the dust. I hate when my kids scrape their knees...I think I'm in for a long haul of that. I think Austin has 2 left feet. ;)

Great pictures! I love water fountains...a great way to cool off.
