I explained a little before how my cousin and her best friend come to visit here from Michigan every year. My cousin Amber and I have been close all of our lives even though we've always lived 3 hours away. She is 5 years younger than me (in fact, all of the grandchildren are 5 years apart, except Toshianna, and my grandmother would always talk about that). When I was younger we would always travel up to Detroit to visit Granita and Grandpa and my dad's siblings. Amber and my Aunt Lynnore used to live with Granita and Grandpa so I would always see Amber. We would play Barbies, fight and then make up right before having to leave. We still laugh about that.
6 years ago Amber decided to come and visit us in Ohio and she brought her best friend Kiana. It's been an annual trip ever since (I think they only missed one year). Like I said before, we don't usually do a whole lot. We watch movies, relax and laugh...a lot. These two keep me laughing from the time they walk in the door until the time they leave and this year was no different. They are truly the definition of best friends!
This year we actually went to dinner and the extra bonus was the Ohio State Fair!
When we go to the fair we go in the same entrance, go down the same food strip, eat and then leave. We don't usually go to shows or see the animals or anything. Eat and leave...it's the life.
Here's one of my favorite things...the mist pole. It's nice for those warm days.
Here's what I ate:
Here's Kiana and her HUGE Mountain Dew jug. Guess she loves the Dew.
We had a great weekend and I can't wait til next year. There will be a change...an addition. Amber is due with her first baby in February and so the baby will join us next year (if her husband lets the baby go...apparently he's attached already!).
Thanks for coming girls!

Hi Kelli!
What a fun weekend. I loved seeing your pictures. The fair sounds so fun. Isn't it funny that fair food is always on a stick? That drink sounds so yummy and refreshing!
XOXO

We have a little county fair here but I so rarely get to go. My 2 older kiddos usually end up down there with friends. They always have a blast. You make me want to make sure I get there next time.
Sounds like so much fun! And with a baby next year it'll be even better.
Now I'm off to find myself some Dew. Mmm.
Looks like y'all had a lot of fun. Any food on a stick is yummy! Oh I love cheese sticks...And that is the biggest Mountain Dew I have ever seen. Zack would love to have that, I am sure!
Oh that looks like so much fun!! Our local fair isn't unitl the end of the month and I can't wait!! Fried Dough here I come!!! I'm so glad you ladies had such a good time. It looks hot and sunny there...send some our way.
Looks like so much fun! I wish I could see my cousin - we're close just like you guys are. Isn't it funny how everything is "on a stick" at the fair? And it's all sooo good. :)
Great fair pics! Looks like you had a great visit :)
Nothing better than fair food, yum! So bad, but tastes so good! LOL! Elephant ears are my favorite! So glad you had a great time!
Love the fair! Love! (That misting pole is great!)
(My word verification for this comment is gatorito... sounds like something you could get to eat at a fair.)
What a great time! "Eat and Leave" -- now that is a great approach! :-)
Looks like a lot of fun!! And yum at all the fun fair food!
