The Simple Woman's Daybook - July 6, 2009

For today...

Outside my window...Sunshine! It is supposed to be nice all week and I'm so excited.

I am thinking...about Stampin Up. Yesterday I went to my new rep's open house. I have wanted to see what Stampin Up is all about ever since I saw it on Heidi's blog. I contact one rep to have a workshop but then she had a family emergency. Then I contacted Lisa to have a workshop and we were all scheduled, but then we ended up having a conflict with the date so I'm holding off on the workshop for now. BUT...she had a great open house yesterday and she let me come an hour early to walk me through a bunch of stuff, including the new catalog. She was so patient with me and I immediately fell in love with the project. Now I have to figure out what all to buy first! If you live in the Dublin, Ohio area I highly recommend her...here's her blog...you can see pictures of what we made.

I am thankful for...a great weekend. We had Friday off and we enjoyed some family time at home. Saturday we got up and went to a local parade. It was our first time going and it was a lot of fun. We sat with our friends Lyndsey and her family and Amber and her family. That evening we went to our church's Food, Fun and Fireworks. It lightly rained most of the time but it didn't stop the fun. I will have pictures as soon as I find out what's wrong with Kodak on my computer.

From the kitchen...lasagna and tacos. I'm thinking of making some strawberry shortcake too, but that might be over the weekend.

I am reading...Following God with All Your Heart still. I didn't get a lot of reading done last week but I plan on it tonight. It takes me longer to read these books because I'm really trying to take it all in.

I am hoping...that the weather really stays nice all week.

I am praying...for some blog friends.

Around the house...the windows are open and I'm sure the kids are outside enjoying the weather.

One of my favorite things...the look on Caleb's face when he saw fireworks for the first time...priceless.

A few plans for the week...deep clean the kitchen, paint Jamison's latest creation from Home Depot, go to the 1st grade play date and go to the pool.

And you?

It sounds like you had a great weekend. And how cute that your son saw fireworks for the first time. I love that age when they see experience everything for the first time. So sweet! :)

I love this, and I keep meaning to do a post, but I don't know if I can do one in a serious fashion... I'm pretty sure I can't... I think I'll save it for a day with writer's block! lol
