Inspired

The other day I came across this blog. Stephanie was featured on another blog for being a Supermom and reading through her blog has inspired me with regards to parenting. Not that I think I'm a bad parent, I'm a pretty good mom...but I am inspired by the fact that she does not yell at her children. This really struck me because lately I feel like I'm yelling all the time. I hate yelling...it makes me sad. So, I'm gonna focus on not yelling.

We'll see how this goes.

***On a side note, thank you for posting about the Valentine's Day crafts...keep them coming. I'm going to Hobby Lobby tonight to gather some things and I'm hoping that Jamison and I can do some crafting on Sunday. I'll post pictures later.

Hi Kelli!
To strike a word out in a post you have to go to html mode. Then in front of the word type < s > and after the word type < /s >. Dont leave spaces between the symbols...I just did that so it wouldn't cross out the sentence in this comment. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I am a yeller as well, and it seems as though it's hard not to and hard to stop as well.

Good Luck! I will have to go and check out her blog. Thanks for sharing.

Have fun at Hobby Lobby - I love that place but don't get there much because it's a trek.

I feel exactly the same way about yelling. I don't know if I read the same post that you did, but I did read one that was at Sarah at Clover Lane, and that blogger was saying how she never yelled at her kids. I try not to yell, but sometimes I just get upset and don't think. And then after I feel so terrible and guilty.

But I figure we all human. We are all trying to improve ourselves. We are trying to be better parents. We are all on that path. It really inspires me to hear from other moms who are not perfect, but are also trying. Thanks for your comment.

Have a great day!

Great blog, thanks for sharing it!

I try not to yell, too. And I don't usually.... Only after the 100th time of saying "no!" do I yell. But you're right, such great inspiration!

Thanks for the tip on Simplify...I love that site. I too try hard not to yell at my kiddos...they are just exploring. Patience is key.

Hi! Just wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog... I have a friend Kelli that spells her name the exact same way, and I thought you were her... JUST realized that was NOT the case. Sorry for not stopping by sooner!

You have a beautiful family! As far as yelling, I so try not to. I've started hearing it in my children and it's SO not pretty. Taking deep breaths and relying on my Savior.

Take care!

I try not to yell, but I do lose it sometimes. Or at least talk in an ugly way. My good friend is so good at NOT yelling that one time she did lose it and yell and when he heard it, her little son came in because he thought there was a Buckeye game on!
