miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

*  There was no Thanking God on Friday last week...shame on me.  Yes, I was in a grumpy mood, yes I had a sick child that I was worried about, yes my oldest child had an emotional start to her day because she was tired, yes the car that we purchased (very used btw) broke down FIVE days after we bought it (as is btw) and was stranded in front of our sitter's house...BUT those are never reasons for not taking the time to stop and thank God for all He does.  Yes, I believe that there is a time for sadness, anger and frustration...but He has overcome all of those things and I need to be thankful for that.  Thankful while I'm grumpy, thankful while I'm listening to my daughter cry on the phone, thankful as Rondell and I try and figure out what to do about the "new" car.  Why?  Because of what He has blessed me with, because He is Faithful, because He is a Healer, because He is my Friend, even because He said so.

Thank you God...Everyday!

**  There is nothing like the sight of a full fridge after going to the store:

***  I'm using the new way to type up your posts (the word for it is escaping me) and it is a little hard to get used to.  I was changing some settings and saw that the old formatting was going away soon so I decided to finally switch over.  I've never been one for change, but I'm sure I'll get used to this soon.

****  I had such a great time with my friend Kristina and was so sad to see her go.  There's nothing like true friends, ones that have been there for you during good and bad times, who stood up with you when you got married, ones who still love you when you forget their birthday (May 2...MAY 2)...love you Kris!  Thanks for playing Wii with my babies, making me laugh, and having a shake with me at 10:30 at night (so I didn't feel so bad for having a shake at 10:30 at night, but man was it good!).

*****  BSF starts tonight and I am beyond excited...Isaiah here I come!  You should try it :)

I feel the same way you do about a full refrigerator when you get back from the store. I also like to see my canning jar shelf full. We had a drought in our area and that's not as full as I'd like, but it's okay. Some years are just better for the garden than others.
You have a lovely family.
Blessings!
Patrice

Sorry to hear about all of the frustration but you have the right attitude :) I'm praying for you and hope the car situation resolves itself quickly.

Yay for stocked fridges and long-time friends - both of whom I need to see soon! Ugh, I really should have grocery shopped this weekend!

I had quite a mood last week too... ugh... so thankful for so much... thanks for that reminder when I'm feeling so crummy about the little things {although homework sure gets me frustrated sometimes! grrrrr! ha!}

Love a full fridge...I need to do that today, I really don't like grocery shopping!

Hope you have a better week starting today...BSF should start it off perfectly! {And if I was nearby...I would definitely get a shake with you any time of day or night! ;) }

Sometimes, in the midst of all the turmoil and crap that is going on, it's hard to remember to thank God. But, with time and reflection you remember and really, I'm sure that's all He asks.

I'm SO sorry Friday was so awful. UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH. Is Caleb feeling better? How's the car? I hope Jamison has a better day today.

Oh, no! They're changing over to the "new" style of posting? CRUD! I HATE change and haven't done so yet because it's a pain in the hiney. Drat.

I too LOVE a full fridge--got mine done Saturday. :o) And, I too would have had that 10:30 shake with you. There is never a bad time for ice cream. :oP

Stopping by from Miscellany Monday! I hope you have a much better week. Gotta love a full fridge, but I sure do hate going to the grocery store.

I was wondering where you were! Glad to see you posting again.
The full fridge thing...gotta agree with you. Love it!
The car...oh...I can so relate. I have been 7 years without a car before, and unable to afford one that was anything decent, and so would have breakdowns constantly. It was very stressful and left me in a crappy mood too. *hugs* it will and does get better.
Hope your baby is feeling better, and I hope Jamison has a better week too.

I am so sorry your Friday was such a bummer last week. Praying your car gets fixed quickly. Oh I love fully stocked refrigerators. Although, with teens in the house, it hardly stays that way for long. I am not familiar with the new way to type blog posts. I'll have to check into that. So thankful you and Kristina had a good time together. Have a blessed day.

I love your attitude. In all things give praise. You did that girl! That's hard when things aren't going right. Hope this week finds blessings pouring over you.

You may have missed time thanking him, but he was waiting on you when you got back.

I think God knows we're going to have stressful days and neglect him. It's all in the servant attitude of realizing it and then acknowledging our omission. He's our parent, he knows us better than we could ever know ourselves.

I hope you have a better week! You'll be in the prayers at the Unscripted house! God bless and keep praising His name each and every day!
