Ringin in the New Year Right!

For the fourth year in a row we have gotten together with our friends Lyndsey, Amber & Amber for New Year's Eve (Amber J missed year 2 & 3, so it was good to have her back this year!).

Usually we go to someone's house and have yummy food and hang out. This year we went out to eat (good suggestion Lyn) at a local Italian place and then to Amber's house. It was another great New Year's Eve!

Check out all the kids and their DSs. It was so funny to see them all at the table playing their games. They were checking out each other's games too so it was interactive.

Jamison was a little under the weather but she stayed strong and had good time. We did have to leave Amber's early because she was fading.

The girls...Amber J, me, Amber & Lyndsey (with Jamison in the back...she was actually the only girl child).

Here's Caleb and Amber J's little boy. Jordan is a little older than Caleb and so adorable!

At Amber's...the boys.

Acting silly.

Nothing like good friends!

Me and my honey.

Kind of a funny story. When Jamison was 3 we bought her a train table for Christmas. She loved it for a while and then became uninterested. It's pretty big and since we don't have an actual kid space it took up a lot of room in our dining area. Amber wanted one for her son Eli and so last year I gave her the train table...not thinking that soon Caleb would LOVE Thomas.

When we went to Amber's for Halloween I heard very little from Caleb because this is what he was doing:

Playing with her train table.

I could have kicked myself right then and there. Well fast forward...Lyndsey was looking to part with hers because her boys don't play with it anymore and so she gave it to Caleb. We've come full circle:

The kids enjoying the table (we still need to set up the track).

I made dinner New Year's Day. I got my turkey from the store (and it was yummy) and then I made mac & cheese, dressing and green beans. We ate dinner and then watched The Ohio State University beat the Ducks. My mom was there and Marja & Mila came too!

Jamison and Marja.

Maybe one day the look from Mila will be the look of love instead of "are you crazy?"

What a great way to ring in the NEW YEAR! Hello 2010!

What a fun night! We used to spend every new year with a couple of friends even after we had our kids...but we haven't done that for the past few years. So fun! The two little boys look almost identical! And so glad Caleb got his table ;) Looks like Jamison is enjoying it again too! So cute!

Looks like a great time! :) We had all the kids here and played Wii, Phase 10 and just enjoyed each others' company. :)

It looks like y'all had such a great time! Love all the kids and their DSs. That is what it looks like around here now. The kids are always playing theirs.

The kids went to bed early and Zack and I sat up and watched He's Just Not That Into You. No, he didn't want to watch it but was being sweet since nothing else was on. : )
