Small Group Christmas Party

Tonight our Small Group had its annual Christmas party. We've done different things over the years and this year Tim and Melissa hosted in their brand new home (like just built) and everyone brought a dish. It was very relaxing and fun.

As a gift for each person I made gift tags. I used a tag stamp that I got from Lisa (my SU demonstrator) and a tag stamp that I got from Jaydee. I love the way they turned out...I need to make some for myself.

I put the tags in these little boxes that I made out of card stock (and if I can remember where I got the idea from I will post about it). Then I used another stamped that I got from Jaydee...it says "a gift for you, Merry Christmas."

We had a nice spread of food:

Veggies and dip, cheese and crackers, and I made a cheese ball. I love being able to pull out my holiday spreaders.

Green bean casserole, broccoli and cauliflower, and I made mac and cheese.

Tim and Melissa provided the ham (Honey Baked Ham...nice!) and we also had meatballs and mashed potatoes. For dessert there was a heath cake and cranberry/apple crisp. We were all very full by the end.

The girls...Sabrina and me...Melissa, Meredith, Sara and Laura. We were missing two couples, sniff.

We played the White Elephant game. Rondell and I didn't bring anything because I throw everything away so we really didn't have anything gag to bring. But Sara and Elliott had an extra and they gave it to us to play. We ended up stealing the gift they wanted:

A beach umbrella and shades. The umbrella was our motivation so we can use it when we go to Destin. We agreed to share it with them.

Laura got these cute fuzzy earmuffs and some other stuff in a basket. She's such a good sport to take this picture.

Elliott recently went to China so he gave these toiletries as a gift.

Aren't we cool...here we are with our new umbrella.

It was a very nice evening...with great fellowship. Do you have a Small Group?

I am now absolutely STARVING after seeing that spread of food! Everything looks delicious! :)
You and your hubby look very cool with your new umbrella. ;) Looks like everyone had fun. Wish we had a group of friends who had the time to do that kind of gathering. Seems everyone is so busy anymore, we do well to see each other at all. :(
