Outside my window...Snow. Just a little, but it's still snow. I'm sure my kids will be thrilled!
I am thinking...that this will be a nice, productive week since we don't have that many plans. I have a few gifts that I want to make for people and I need to mail out my Christmas cards.
I am thankful for...a great time seeing the lights at our zoo. It was pretty cold so I was worried the kids might not last but we had a GREAT time. I'll post about it with pictures tomorrow.
I am reading...Captivating! I'm so excited to have finally gotten myself together to get a book. This book was recommended to me by my friend Tonya and I've heard that it is a pretty good, inspirational book. After this I'm ready Twilight...I just have to.
I am hoping...that someone comes through with a sewing machine for me for Christmas. One can hope, right?
From the kitchen...cookies from the cookie party I went to this weekend (I'll post about this later too).
Around the house...the Christmas decorations are going up slowly. I have all of my Hallmark snowmen up and the tree is up with lights. Rondell and the kids are going to put the ornaments on tonight. I bought Jamison a cute fairy ornament and Caleb a Thomas ornament this year. I love buying them ornaments each year.
One of my favorite things...Christmas lights. The zoo was just beautiful and I love driving through the neighborhoods and looking at all of the houses with lights.
A few plans for the rest of the week...bake cookies (jam thumb prints...Kelli, I will post the recipe!), post about our fun weekend, make gifts for a few people, mail Christmas cards. I love this time of year!

My boys were hoping it would snow this weekend...it almost made it here too...but it stopped about an hour north of us. I have decided that this year we are going light on the decorations....I am just too tired to put them up and take them down, plus fight Eli for the three weeks that they are up! I love to drive around and look at the Christmas lights too! I can't wait to get one of your cards...and your recipe for jam thumb prints!
Snow oh I am jealous! Please post your cookie recipe!
Have a great day
Carrie
Have a nice relaxing week - it sounds wonderful.
Snow!! I want more snow here in Texas.
I too plan to bake cookies this week. I haven't decided what kind just yet.
Have fun decorating this week!
We loved seeing the little bit of snow this morning too, but it was slick! It was gone by lunch, though. i love Christmas lights too, so pretty! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, can't wait to hear more about it!
I so love cookie parties. How they help throughout the Christmas season and all the cookies we have to deliver. I will have to agree with you lights are one of my favorite holiday decorations. I still need to blog about our outdoor Christmas decorations.
I love seeing the Christmas lights. We go to Branson MO. year to see the lights. They are so beautiful. I love baking cookies with the family. I hope you have a wonderful week. Doylene
