miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1.  No pictures please.  I have not been doing a good job at all about taking pictures.  I need to start taking my camera everywhere so that I can get into the habit of capturing the little moments.  I love pictures and since it's not in the budget to hire a photographer to hang out with us I need to get myself together.  I love looking at blogs that are filled with beautiful pictures (even if they aren't related to the post) and I want to do that here.  I also need to work on the pictures for my header so that I can update my blog.  I love the headers here, here, and here.

2.  Real life inspiration...right in my own "backyard."  This weekend we went to Rondell's cousins' graduation party (Rokia is graduating from college and Ron is graduating from high school).  I was so inspired by these two (and if I had my camera I could show you their pictures...sigh) and their parents...both are grounded in Christ, did well educationally and athletically, close with their parents and each other, and just overall good people.  I sat with their mom Kim for a bit and told her how much of an inspiration she is as a mother and how I hope my children turn out as well as hers have.

Side note:  Ron is going to THE Ohio State University to play football...Go Bucks!

3.  Quote of the weekend...by Caleb.  After jumping into the pool by himself for the first time Caleb says "I've never felt more alive!"  I love that kid.

Oh! I love that kid too!!!
LOVE. HIM.
Congrats to your family on the graduations and yes, you do need to take pix more. (Perhaps you're just tired from all the ones from Destin!)
I like the 3 blog headers. Looks good!

Oh that boy, love that quote. :)

I could change my blog header weekly; however, I think I've finally found one I love and I'm sticking to it (for now).

Oh! I LOVE Caleb's quote!! :o) That is wonderful! :o)

I go overboard on the photos, sometimes, but I can't seem to help myself. I promise, we wouldn't mind if you did too. The trick is to start feeling nekkid without your camera. ;o)

I love those headers too. I am so fickle about my blog. I like to change it up so much!

Caleb is to cute! I love the things kids say!

I think sometimes I need to put the camera down. The kids get so sick of my clicking away at them all the time. I feel so naked without it though.

Awww, kids say the cutest thing :) Especially your kids ;)

So, the camera . . . it's just like with anything else, it just has to become a habit. Honestly, I tote mine with me everywhwere. The grocery store, shopping trips, dr.s appointments, etc. And a lot of the time I don't take it out. But if I want to, it's right there. Availability, that's key ;) Plus, I find that I use it a lot more in the summer. Hopefully you will too! :)

Hi Kelli,
how ya doin? I hear ya on lugging the camera around. Sometimes it feels like a chore. Right now to me it doesn't because I just got a new one and I want to soak up all the info I can about it. :)
Caleb's comment about swimming is so cute. Kids. Oh to be a kid!

Loved your thought about how hiring a photographer to hang out with you all!! That gave me a chuckle. I am so thankful my husband and 2 older boys like to 'play' photographer (as well as myself!) It does help out a lot!
But sometimes I do get tired of lugging it around...
Oh, and those headers are great aren't they?!

Caleb is adorable.

Congratulations to Ron-
