2011 Siesta Scripture Memory Team: Verse 3

...well Verse 2 for me (I was a week late to the party).  Here's my verse from the last two weeks (that I'm typing from memory...smile):

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me will a willing spirit.  Psalm 51:12 (ESV)

Here's my verse for the next two weeks:

Have you not known?  Have you not heard?  The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.  Isaiah 40:28-29 (ESV)

I find so much relief when I read these words.  God is not stressed or worried...He's constant.  He will give me the power and strength.  What a blessing.

This is a wonderful verse.

We are dealing with a friend who is angry at God and it's been very difficult. Brien talked to our priest today and he said, "Let God handle it. He loves everyone and is constant and true."

Truer words have never been spoken. It's all in His hands.
