Thanking God on Friday!

** I am thankful for a verse that I saw over on Kelly's blog:

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22-23
I love this because it gives a fresh start...new every morning.  It's a reminder of how He loves me...unconditionally.  How amazing is that!  I've been struggling because lately I have not been giving Him my best...my best time, my best attention, my best praise.  I'm still reading through the Bible (trying to do it in a year) and while I read daily I'm not giving it my all...Him my all.  This verse is comforting to help me remember that He doesn't stop loving me because I casually read my reading for that day.  It doesn't give me the excuse to casually read everyday, but it frees me from the guilt if for some reason I do.  His love never ceases!

** I am thankful for this morning's sunrise.  It was absolutely beautiful and such a peaceful way to drive into work.  I'm also very thankful that the temps are going to be a bit higher this weekend (40's!)...I might even crack a window.

** I am thankful that my husband is on board for Big Clean Saturday.  This will be happening at our house tomorrow where everything will be cleaned...bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting (yuk!), everything finding a home, etc.  He even went to Target and stocked up on various cleaning supplies.

** I am thankful for Jamison's teacher.  She is such an encouragement to both us as parents and Jamison as her student.  I met with her yesterday for parent/teacher conferences and she just spoke very highly of Jamison and gave me some great tips on how to help Jamison with her math homework.  She even told me that she has chosen Jamison as a role model for a program that they are having at her school.  Basically, Jamison will model behavior for other girls in her grade who are having some conflicts.

Just catching up on your blog...I'm so behind! I too am thankful for sunshine today! I wish we were going to be in the
40's here this weekend but I don't think it's gonna happen. Good luck with your big clean and enjoy your weekend!!!

What a powerful verse. Thank you for posting it. :o)

I'm thankful I'm home all week so I can do a chore or two a day (except the dusting--the dratted dusting never seems to get done, and quite frankly I'm afraid to dust at this point for fear it may be the only thing holding the furniture together...). The BIG deep clean will come next month. UGH!

Thank you for sharing such wonderful things about Jamison's teacher. You should send her a little note of thanks--believe me, she will appreciate it more than you will EVER know. :o)

Oh, and Jamison? You go Girl!! That's WONDERFUL! :o)

Happy Friday! :o)

I love that verse too, Kelli! Such a great reminder for those "tough" days. We've been having a lot of those lately ;)

Yeah for BIG clean Saturday! I get so discouraged around here because the moment I clean something it gets destroyed again, ha! Such is the life :)

Thanks for sharing the verse! How wonderful for Jamison too. I always enjoy reading your blog and am always touched by the way you comment on your husband. I think many of us take the things our spouses do for granted but you always comment on the things he does. What a wonderful gift :)

What a wonderful verse. Right now I am doing a devotional called the Power of the Positive mom and wow it has a lot of day to day relations to the Bible that help me see life a little different. We are also having a heat wave here today. It is 46 and suppose to climb in temps this weekend. Let's hope the snow melts.
Have a great cleaning weekend!

I am just reading some of your other posts catching up here... and Kelli, don't tell me that you DID NOT like the sushi??? Say what! You must try again. Maybe it's a bit of an aquired taste because now you know the texture of what you are biting into and stuff right? :)

Have a great weekend my friend.

I hope your big clean Saturday went well. Our house is in need of just that. Maybe next weekend, ha!
