Another Organizing Series...Really Kelli?

Organize your lif

Yes...they are all over the place and I'm enjoying each minute.  I've mentioned this challenge before when Bonnie talked about organizing your mind (go here to see that post).  I've talked about organizing for forever (yes, for forever) and it's time to put this game in action.  I'm tired of just talking about it, the clutter, the "where did we put that paper", etc so I'm jumping on board to series that are for an organized lifestyle and this is one that is doing just that.

This week's challenge is organizing your schedule!  This has really gotten me thinking about our routine and how we need to tweak it.  We are routine people and right now what we're doing is not working for us well.  There are a few things that I have that will help organize our schedule.

My Planner

This planner really does have it all for me.  I can put in my daily and weekly To Do lists and I'm going to use one of the Notes pages for my Master To Do list...a list of all of the big and small projects that need to be done around here.  I love that there's room on each day to put details that are needed to complete each task.

Worksheets

This sheet from my Home Management Binder will be helpful for school days...do I need to pack a lunch, is the library book in the bookbag, etc.  This will help me prepare for each morning.

This sheet will help with our meal planning and make grocery shopping more productive.  Rondell and I need to figure out a good time for him to go to the store (he does the shopping) so we know when to plan our meals.

I'm really excited to have a cleaning schedule so that we can stay on top of day-to-day tasks.  I used to find myself being overwhelmed on the weekends and this schedule will reduce that a lot.  We will still do more on the weekends just because it's harder to do major things in the evening, but it won't be as much.

Talking

I think the big thing for us will be communication and knowing what days work best and which ones don't.  For example...I go to BSF & Jamison has Girl Scouts on Mondays, so that's not a day to deep clean the kitchen.

I am really enthused to get off to a great start this time and can't wait for the day when we are organized around here!

Share some of that organization madness with me!! With the weather so cold I don't want to do anything other than curl up on the couch with the heating pad and fleece blanket!

I'm loving this master planner...all of those lists are right up my alley!! I feel so accomplished when I can cross things off or put a check mark beside them. I'm a visual kind of person.
