Thanking God on Friday!

~ I am thankful that the LeBron James decision is over (even though I love him). Now back to our regularly scheduled programming!

~ I am thankful for a successful attempt at a new recipe...hummus (thanks Lyndsey).

Combine:
15oz can chickpeas, rinsed
1 clove garlic (I used minced garlic out of a jar)
1/4 olive oil
2 tbs fresh lemon juice (who am I kidding...my plastic lemon friend works just fine)
1 tsp cumin
Sprinkle of salt
1/4 tsp paprika

Blend all ingredients, minus paprika (if it is too think you can add a little water). I love my little chop and grind.

Place in bowl (with a plastic spoon...cuz that's how I roll), top with paprika (I forgot) and serve with pita, pita chips, or tortilla chips. You can also drizzle with more oil if desired.

It was easy & delicious!

~ I am thankful that some of my Small Group ladies were able to get together last night for prayer. We started doing this every other week after reading the book Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire. The book is written by the pastor of Brooklyn Tabernacle, Jim Cymbala. This church is a prayer centered church and his book discusses the power and necessity of prayer, including group prayer. Our time together always turns out to be a rewarding and refreshing evening.

~ I am thankful that my Stampin Up! up-line, Lisa, took the time to go over ideas for my upcoming workshop and SU in general.

I hear you; I'm happy that decision is over! You probably had to hear about it way more than us in FL but enough is enough!

Hummus sounds yummy! I have SO many recipes I want to try...just have to make the time to do it.

How wonderful that you have a great group of ladies to pray with. What a blessing!

Can't wait to see more of your Stampin' Up!

I am so glad that your hummus worked out well! I added tahini to mine, which I think is probably why it tasted like feet! I may need to try your recipe and see if I like it better:)

Yea, I was sick of seeing it all over FB about which team he was going to choose. I didn't even know who he was until his decision making was all over. :-)

I am not a fan of hummus although Zack would love it!!

I'm excited about your Stampin Up. I may just have to get into it!

Have a great weekend!!

Cracking up about the LeBron James comment. We could not make a sound in our house all last night while they were watching LeBron on ESPN. Sheesh...No one ever gives me that kind of respect. LOL

looks yummy. we love Stacy's Pita Chips the best. Have you ever had them? Highly recommended. We like the "naked" flavor..which is just sea salt. I hope that writing that doesn't get you a bunck of yucky spam on your blog! But check out the chips. -LK

I am copying that humus recipe! I have never found an 'authentic' one, so if it is that good, I will be thanking God next week for you!
{Wait, that sounded rude-I mean, I will just thank God anyway for you today,right now- but I will thank him for the HUMUS recipe, though, next week:) }

I didn't know Lebron was such a big deal...and didn't know anything about it until I've been hearing about the FINAL decision, haha! I don't really follow sports much :) Just Colts and whatever Dan tells me, haha! I don't think I've ever had hummus? Maybe? haha! Sounds yummy and easy! I'm so glad you have a wonderful group of friends to pray with and feel so close too, what a blessing :)
Good luck with SU, I know it will be awesome!
