For today...
Outside my window...gloomy. And let me just tell you that I'm tired of it! I can tell that I have a touch (or more) of the winter blues from lack of sun. On Friday it was sunny and I was in a great mood...but now it's gloomy and I feel blah. I'm looking forward to our sunny weekend!
I am hoping...that our computer is fixed soon. Not being able to blog regularly is hard because it has truly become my outlet. I have met some really great friends through blogging and without a computer it's hard to stay connected (ha, ha). There are things I want to share with you all (like Caleb's big boy bed, or my Valentine's social with our Small Group, or little projects that Rondell and I are trying to get done around the house, or cards that I've made...). I hope to be back to my regularly scheduled blogging by the end of the week.
I am thinking...about all of the cool things I want to make now that I have finally learned how to use my sewing machine! I went to a class yesterday and I loved it. I can't wait to play around and really get sewing.
I am thankful...for conversations with my daughter. I was able to talk to her last night and really get to the heart of some of her sensitive issues.
I am praying...for peace.
I am reading...So Long Insecurity by Beth Moore. So far so good.
I am creating...I have some cards to make and I also want to try and make a headband like this over the weekend.
From the kitchen...last night I made taco pockets (I forgot to get the information about where I found it...sorry), potato soup, pigs in a blanket, and meatloaf and macaroni and cheese (I'm going to try Angie's meatloaf recipe that I found here).
Around the house...Caleb finally got a twin bed, Rondell and I priced mailbox posts and realized they're not that expensive (ours is pretty worn and wobbly), we decided to paint the inside of our front door and we still need to clean our carpets (any suggestions on a good cleaning liquid?).
A few plans for the rest of the week...organize the kids' clothes and bag clothes that need to be donated, make a few cards for friends, go to Jamison's school's carnival night and then on Sunday we are going to see my cousin who just had a baby girl.
How is your day...please share.

Come and visit me out here! We have plenty of sunshine and temps in the high 60s.
:)
sounds like you have a busy week ahead . . . we are yucky dreary here.
Congrats to Caleb on the twin bed. We got Trey a twin bed this summer and we love to get in and snuggle with him.
I totally agree with you about blogging. It is crazy how you become so connected with your blogging buddies. I have also found that my family reads this faithfully and they will call and check in on me if there are no posts.
Great minds must be thinking alike as we are having meatloaf tonight.
Have a great day!
I am ready for sun and warm too! And I'm going to the Beth Moore conference in a few weeks...I'm so excited to hear her in person.
It is a beautiful day here today! I am so thankful to feel the sun after so much cold weather!
I am with you...I need sun in a bad way!! Spring is coming soon, it just has to.
I hope you like the meatloaf and the taco pockets sound really yummy!
I need to go get the book So Long Insecurity. I haven't been able to find it in my bookstore. Maybe I'll order it online.
Have a great week!
I can't wait to see all the fun stuff you have been doing...especially the sewing! I hope your computer gets fixed soon!
I love these updates, but rarely comment-sorry!
Here-snowy, cold, but sunny!
I just signed up to go see Beth Moore in the spring! I am so encouraged by her, and excited to go see her for the first time...I have heard that book is wonderful, but haven't read it yet-
Hugs to you all!
You know...we so do need to meet! I have been seeing you more and more at church, but ususally walking to your car and I hate to honk and scare you. I know that would scare me!! I did see you last weekend as Andrew and I bit the bullet and are now serving in the Children's ministry and working in the nursery. We attened the Welcome to New Life meeting on Sunday and we will have our interview in two weeks. So far we have come!!! I am excited though. I also met a woman there who want to start up a mom's group in our church catered to WORKING mom's. Not discluding SAHM or anything either but some outlet for us to get out an meet other women. I was so extatic!!! I nearlly knocked her over! Just wish I knew what I needed to do to get that started!
I hear you with the Winter blues...blah! :( And I know how hard it must be not being able to blog or check blogs...it's nice to keep up with everyone :) We're back to busy this week now that the snow days are moving on...I hope! Can't wait to see Caleb's bed, so FUN! And I love the headband idea! Really cute! Sounds like a great week! And do I ever need to organize the clothes around here! ugh!
It is cold here too. Although it was sunny today - but 28 is still cold. I hope your computer gets fixed soon. I was wondering what was happening in your world lately. I hope things are going well!

I am SO with you on these winter blues! I'm tired of gray and dreary. And I'm also with you on the computer problems. EGAD! I got so tired of the issues I was having that I went ahead and did a complete system restore. My daughter has an external hard drive and she backed up everything for me and then we just did it. It is nice to have my laptop back. Now if I can just avoid any further viruses...
Great post, Kelli! Seems like you have your hands full this week.
I can just imagine how excited Caleb is about his new bed. I remember how Joel got so excited when he first got his "big boy bed". He was 2 at the time. It seems like just yesterday, and now he's getting married. Enjoy your babies while they're young... they grow up so fast.
Oh, and once you get into sewing, you'll not want to stop. I used to make all my kids clothes (I still make Amber's clothes), and of course, I still sew clothes for myself. Quilting is a lot of fun, too. Just time consuming.
I can't wait until you get your computer fixed. I always enjoy reading your posts.
Have a great day and a blessed rest of the week!
Georgia
