The Simple Woman's Daybook - Monday, June 7, 2010

For today...

Outside my window...
Cloudy. The temperature (or degrees...hi mom) is cooling down, but it's supposed to heat back up by the weekend. It's nice to be able to turn off the air for a couple of days...I love fresh air!

I am thinking...about some items I'm putting together as a gift for Jamison's teacher. She's going camping this summer so I'm going with that theme. My good blog friend Vivienne gave me some great ideas (you really should check out her camping posts...almost makes me want to go).

I am praying...for a fun, safe, productive and pull up-free summer.

I am thankful...for blog friends who checked in on me (hi Joanna and Viv!).

I am wearing...lime green. I'm trying to wear more color.

I am reading...Isaiah...and I must say that I'm SO glad that it is being covered by BSF because I am beyond confused. So far, I'm getting that God is really mad at Israel. Whew!

I also borrowed Bitter is the New Black from the library because I hear it's good. Not a huge fan of the language, but it is pretty funny so far.

From the kitchen...Breakfast for dinner (including bacon, which is Caleb's favorite), chicken tetrazzini (what can I say, we love it), cabbage & noodles (click here for the recipe) and hamburgers on the grill.

Around the house...it's time to go through the kids' toys and get rid of some stuff. I think the Little People phase is now over...sniff.

A few plans for the rest of the week...help a friend pack up her dorm room, clean Jamison's closet, go to my Small Group book club, have a dinner for Aunt Roni since this is her last week, and maybe to go a friend's house to see Taken.

Share you daybook here.

How sad that your Little People stage is over! Those are some of my favorite toys:) You always make me want to cook good food when you list your weekly menu! I think we may do breakfast for dinner tonight...YUM!

Cabbage and Noodles(aka haluski) is one of my favorite meals of all time. Enjoy some for me! I miss the Little People stage as well, although when our friends come out to visit, we do get to break them out. Have a great week! My post is here:

I am just about to read that book! Hope I think it's as funny as everyone in the bloggy world says it is!

Aw...I love the Little People...I'm happy to keep them around for a little bit longer ;)
But...I would also love to start getting rid of SO MUCH! It's so hard to get rid of things...lots of work!

I have zero plans for dinner...this is turning out to be a busy week after all!

The weather is rainy and cooler here this week, but looks nicer toward the weekend!

Enjoy your week! and all the best for a pull-up free summer! that's always a tremendous milestone! Alex was about three...but Emily was younger, she trained herself! haha! miss independent!
