The Simple Woman's Daybook - Tuesday, December 13, 2011

1.  Outside my window...sunny, blue skies & COLD.  Cold or no cold, I will take the sun any day :)
This is not a picture of this morning, but the sky looked exactly the same...gorgeous.

I am thinking...about my day and the little things that I want to accomplish.

I am thankful...for friends who can relate to me.  Sometimes it's a good feeling to know that I'm not the only one who (fill in the blank).

In the kitchen...Yesterday I was off and made dinner for last night and tonight...taco bake & cabbage/noodles/kielbasa.

I am wearing...earrings.  I don't wear them often enough...I have gotten so many compliments :)

I am creating...my Christmas cards.  I don't think I have ever been this behind...it's going to be a crazy few nights.

I am going...to Jamison's choir performance tomorrow night, where...wait for it...she has a SOLO!!

I am wondering...what to make for our Christmas Eve gathering...appetizers or a full meal?

I am reading...the book of Hebrews.  We recently covered this book in BSF but over the break (BSF takes off for Christmas) I want to read it again...there is so much to ponder within those 13 chapters.

I am hoping...to have my entire house deep cleaned before Christmas (I don't know how realistic this is).

I am looking forward to...Christmas morning.

Around the house...disorder...I don't like disorder.

One of my favorite things...my BSF discussion group.

A few plans for the rest of the week...watch the new NCIS with my mom, attend a cookie party tomorrow (we're making those jars where you add the ingredients of the cookies), make my Christmas cards & catch up on shows that Rondell & I have on our DVR.

If you want to share your day go here.

We have been having dreary days around here lately...I would love to have a sunny day too! I am so behind on Christmas cards! I can't seem to get a good picture of all 3 of my boys together. I have one pretty good one, but Henry is making a weird face! I'm hoping it's sunny enough this afternoon to try pics again. Yay for Jamison's solo! I know she will be awesome and you will be so proud:)

Go for the apps for Christmas Eve. It'll be simpler and less mess to clean up, leaving you feeling less harried and rushed.

I can't WAIT to see your cards! :o)

I say appetizers on Christmas Eve. Be easy and relaxing. Which service are you going to? I'd like to sit with you guys! Im a little disgruntled (although in a selfish way)that they are allowing the kids to "dress up" for the nativity scene. LOL. I didn't buy my kids Christmas clothes for nothing you know:)

Don't worry so much about the cleaning. Try to do one room a night. I promise...its so much less stressful. Clean the bathrooms while the kids are in them. (I do this weekly). I also put away laundry while the kids are bathing and Andrew watches Finley. Other than that...we concentrate on one room a night.

I hope things turn around for you friend. Id love to catch up and get together--even if it is just coffee here. Let me know

Go Jameson!!! A solo, wow girl, impressive!

Dying at the deep clean. Not because of you... because the synonym for those words in the Webster is RIDICULOUS. How in the world can anything, other than an oven, be deep cleaned with kiddos around? You go get 'em girl... and tell me how it works out :)

Have fun at your cookie party! Is there anything better than girlfriends and sugar?

We must chat again soon, loved talking (albeit quick) with you!

Rain rain go away here. It is dreary here as well. When I was a teenager I did an in-depth study on Hebrews. It is a great book.

It's dreary here too. No white Christmas here, at least thats the forecast. Everyone is so busy and behind! I'm beginning to think that's the normal! Just enjoy your family, that's the important part.
