The Simple Woman's Daybook - Monday, March 15, 2010

For today...

Outside my window...
cloudy and cold. It has been rainy the last couple of days, but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny with a high of 55...I can't wait.

I am thinking...about lunch, I'm really hungry for some reason. Today I have leftover buffalo chicken dip that I made over the weekend!

I am thankful...for our DVR. This allows us not to be stressed if we are unable to watch a show right when it comes on. It makes for some fun late evening TV watching, without commercials.

I am praying...for less distraction.

I am reading...1 Kings. I am quite behind in my quest to read the Bible in 90 days but I'm not giving up. I've decided just to pick up where I left off and keep going. I'm also still reading the Beth Moore book, yes still.

I am creating...cards that I need to send out to a few friends.

From the kitchen...chili, chicken tetrazzini, chocolate chip cookies and maybe BLTs.

Around the house...I cleaned out the kids' clothes and now I have quite a few items bagged up for donation.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Tonight I'm going to the store and then we'll probably go out for ice cream (yes, the Oreo cheesecake ice cream is AMAZING!), I'm off tomorrow so I'm going to hang out with Caleb and probably take him to the library, and then piddle around the house the rest of the week.

Share you daybook here.

I love our DVR! I don't know what we would do without it! I'm hungry right now too...but probably because I didn't eat breakfast:) I made chocolate chip cookies last night {I cheated and made them from the roll}!

I hope you'll share your sunshine with us tomorrow! I'm so tired of gray and dreary.
I love my DVR, too. :) Bedtime for the kiddies starts shortly after 8...it's a rather long ritual, ya know. The tooth brushing, choosing tomorrow's outfit, changing into PJs, etc. Then we read. All of this means I typically can't watch any TV until 9 or so. Our DVR keeps me from missing out on the shows I love, as few and far between as they are!

Oh, don't you just love the DVR. I really don't know how I watched tv before them. I can hardly watch a program now as I hate commercials. I do agree it kills my plan of getting to bed early.
I also did a little spring cleaning this weekend. We are planning a yard sale for the first of April so the deadline is getting me in gear to start going through the closets.
Have a great day!

All of that sounds great!! I made chocolate chip cookies yesterday for Sunday Lunch @ my Granny's. I always love reading through these SWDs. I may have to do one today. :)

Hope you have a marvelous Monday!!♥

Great daybook, Kelli. Sounds to me you've become hooked on the Oreo cheesecake ice cream. I know I sure would be. I'd eat so much of it, it would make my blood sugar levels skyrocket. I'd say though it would probably be worth it. :P

I must be the ONLY one who doesn't have a DVR. Probably for the best since I rarely watch TV.

Have a good one and God bless!

I'm sure you'll have a great day with Caleb tomorrow! So fun! Enjoy!

I really need to read the Bible as a priority. I love reading your updates and really need to make an effort to be better myself :)

What did we ever do without DVR? I can't remember. My hubby bought ours for our first anniversary! We have been married almost 7 years! I can't wait to get to get my Cricut. I also can't wait for the sun! Tatum starts soccer in a few weeks so we need the fields to DRY out!!

We had Whits custard tonight. You have to try them. They are in gahanna down the road from church. Amazing!!

See you soon!
