My {Future} Kitchen Wall

A lot of the walls in my house are bare and I'm trying to change that. One wall that really bothers me is in my kitchen. I have tried putting a bulletin board there with fun pictures made by the kids, but it just wasn't working for me. I've seen those Family Rules (like this one) around blogland and thought about doing that for a bit, but I don't know if that will work either.

Then it hit me...THIS picture:

It was taken by good friend Lyndsey and when I saw it on her blog I fell in love. I can't fully explain it, but it is a picture that really stands out to me...the classic watering can and a touch of snow.

So, what am I going to do with this on my kitchen wall...a Seasons collage! The above picture will be my Winter picture and this will be my Summer picture:

This was also taken by my wonderful friend Lyndsey...right in my backyard. If you've read this blog for a while you know my love for sunflowers. I asked Lyndsey to take some pictures of some sunflowers that Rondell bought me and she agreed...and I love it!

I am in the process of finding a picture for Fall (I have one in mind) and I am going to take a picture (or maybe ask Lyndsey again) for my Spring photo.

After we repaint the walls this summer I will frame all of them and then hang them on the bare wall...hopefully bringing it to life!

That is a great idea! And I think maybe we read each other's mind because my giveaway for this Friday is a picture frame with a different picture for the four seasons! How weird is that! I just finished working on them:)

I can't wait to see it! I love that you're including pictures from your own surroundings and taken by loved ones. That will be nice to look at on a daily basis.

THat is perfect, Kelli! I love it! I have a fall collage in our dining room! I love the colors of fall! I also did a picture frame collage of winter and another fall one in our family room. I've one that I've wanted to do from last spring too! But maybe I'll just wait until the pretty white blossoms pop out and take new ones this year! GREAT idea! {I'm running out of wall space! haha!}

Oooh! What a great idea, Kelli! I collect roosters and so I have a wall that is covered with rooster prints, a clock, shelves with small rooster knick knacks I've collected over the years, and one B/W picture my aunt took of her rooster she had. His name was Buster. It's my favorite on that wall.

Make sure you take pictures when you've finished your wall. God bless!
