Absorbing

Captured from my front porch

I know I have been quiet lately.  Honestly, I am just a little overwhelmed at the moment.  Nothing at all serious...just trying to get into a groove.  See, I am routine oriented...it just is who I am.  I like order, I like to know what is coming next, I thrive on organization.  Well right now my world feels out of order...laundry, school papers, the kids' rooms, the To Do list...

I am reminded today that God's mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).  With Him I will get out of this funk & we will get a handle on this disorder.

There are a few things in blogland that have helped too with getting my groove back:

This post/series by Tidy Mom:  Countdown to Clean

Jen always has a good organization tip on her blog...IHeart Organizing

Reading this post by my blog friend Amy...another reminder of how we are renewed daily.

So, that is what's up with me...what's up with you?

I've missed you! I have been in a little bit of a funk lately too...mostly because I have too much to do and not enough time or energy to do it all! I thrive on organization so I totally get where you are coming from! I hope you start feeling back to normal soon! How has the walking been going?

Oh Kelli. I know. It is that time of year isn't it? We will get it all pulled back together and into a better routine. I know we will. (it just seems like this year has been the hardest start to fall in terms of routine or lack of)
Beautiful scene you captured from your front porch. :)

Have a good day today, friend.

I think Lamentations 3 is one of my favorite chapters the entirety of the Word. Funk, yes. It's been a tough couple of weeks, and it's easy to get down about it. Just have to keep reminding myself that there are valleys between every mountain.

I know the feeling. I agree, I think it's the time of year. Back to school and like you said trying to get into a groove. I am with you. I love routine and when I'm out of ours it throws me for a loop. Right now, I can tell that I am sliding down because I have let things go around here that I normally don't let happen. I hope you get to feeling on the ups again soon and I know that you'll find your groove! :-) {{hugs}}

You're not alone, sweet girl! Ruts happen. You are looking to the Lord for refreshment & it will come! Hang in there! You'll find your groove again! I'm a routine kind of girl so I can totally relate!

That's the life around here! Third grade is an adjustment for us right now with Alex. Homework and behavior/talking in class. I wish we could go back to summer!;-)

And cleaning/laundry/upkeep...when it looks a mess around here, my attitude is a mess! :-)

The days just seem to be flying by...and I can't seem to keep up with them!

Take care Kelli! Life is so short...and unpredictable! I try so hard some days to remember that! ;-)

Such a gorgeous photo, Kelli! And I hear you. I definitely have seasons where I feel so unorganized and out of control. I hate that feeling, because I always want to know what's coming, and be prepared. Unfortunately, that's not always possible for me :) It helps me to know that if I take one step at a time {and try to stay calm}, that I will get back on track. And prayer. Always prayer :)

Oh how I love a beautiful sunset. Absolutely gorgeous! I feel same way most of the time. Completely overwhelmed. How does life get so crazy?

I love that picture. IT is beautiful and so peaceful!

One evening I just need to sit out back and take pictures of the sunset. When the weather finally turns cool I am going to do just that. It will be so refreshing and relaxing!

I have been completely absent too - blogging has been last on my list and it has allowed me to focus on my family. It's been a good break, actually.
